Please register on the HCV website to be notified when any Section 8 program in the state opens its waiting list.
- The demand for housing assistance exceeds the funding available for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs. Long waiting periods are common.
- DOH closes its waiting list when there are more families on the list than we can assist in the near future.
- DOH reopens the waiting list only after enough families have been served.
How will I know when the waiting list is open?
Sign up to be notified when the Section 8 HCV wait list reopens. When the list is about to open, the DOH and local newspapers will publish a notice and pre-application form.
