Attorney General Tong Announces Settlement with Norwegian Cruise Line Over COVID Cancellation Practices
Attorney General William Tong today joined the attorneys general of Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin in announcing a settlement with Norwegian Cruise Line, specifically NCL Bahamas, Ltd., following the multistate investigation of NCL’s sales practices and cancellations procedures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Attorney General Tong Announces $7 Million Settlement with Property Management Company, LivCor for its Role in Algorithmic Rent Alignment Scheme
Attorney General William Tong and a bipartisan coalition of eight other attorneys general today announced a $7 million settlement with LivCor, LLC (LivCor), the second property management company to settle in the ongoing antitrust litigation against software company RealPage and landlords who illegally relied on RealPage’s algorithms to inflate rents.

Attorney General Tong Announces $515,000 Settlement with Ambulance Billing Vendor for Failing to Safeguard Sensitive Patient Medical Information
Attorney General William Tong and Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell today announced that Connecticut and Massachusetts have reached a $515,000 settlement with Comstar, LLC, a Massachusetts-based ambulance billing vendor, for failing to safeguard sensitive patient information during a March 2022 data breach that potentially affected the Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, and medical assessment information of approximately 326,426 Massachusetts residents and 22,829 Connecticut residents.

Attorney General Tong Announces Connecticut Lab and its Owner Pay Over $145K to Settle Allegations of Medicaid Enrollment Fraud
Attorney General William Tong and United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, David X. Sullivan, announced today that Coastal Diagnostics, LLC (Coastal) and its owner, Tricia Conroy (Conroy), have entered into a civil settlement agreement with the federal and state governments in which they paid $145,720, to resolve allegations they made material misrepresentations to the Connecticut Medicaid program in their Provider Enrollment Application.
