Visitor Center at Dinosaur State Park Reopens After Infrastructure Update
(HARTFORD) – Bring a sense of wonder on your next visit to Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill! The Visitor Center recently reopened for indoor public visits and viewing of the dinosaur footprints trackway. The Visitor Center was closed for several months for an infrastructure modernization which included a complete replacement of its heating and air conditioning system.

DEEP Closes Swim Area at Rocky Neck State Park
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has closed the swim area at Rocky Neck State Park, Niantic, because the weekly water quality test conducted there showed a level of bacteria in the water above the standard set to protect the health of swimmers.

CT Fire Crew Departing 5:30 a.m. Friday for Western States to Assist U.S. Forest Service in Fighting Fires
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that a 20-person fire crew will be departing 5:30 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, July 27, 2018 from DEEP Eastern District Headquarters, 209 Hebron Road, Marlborough to assist the U.S. Forest Service in fighting wildfires in western states.
