If you won your appeal, your permit may be issued or reinstated, depending on your case. The Board of Firearms Permit Examiners (BFPE) will send you a written decision within 20 days after your hearing. The next step depends on whether your permit application was denied or your permit was revoked.
If your permit application was denied
After you receive the Board's decision, contact the issuing authority that handled your application. They will continue the process of issuing your permit.
If your permit was revoked
If the Board overturns the revocation, contact the Special Licensing and Firearms Unit (SLFU) to have your permit reinstated.
Keep your decision letter
Keep the Board's written decision for your records. You may need it when you contact the issuing authority or the SLFU.
