Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman are applauding the Connecticut General Assembly’s Labor and Public Employees Committee for voting today to adopt a series of reforms the Governor proposed to improve fairness for employees in the workplace, including the expansion of the state’s first-in-the-nation paid sick leave law, an update to existing anti-harassment requirements to better address today’s challenges, and the advancement of measures that will help ensure fairness and equal pay for equal work regardless of race or gender.

Gov. Malloy: Flags Lowered To Half-Staff In Honor Of Former First Lady Barbara Bush

Malloy today announced that – in accordance with a presidential proclamation directing flags to be lowered to half-staff throughout the country in honor of former First Lady Barbara Bush – U.S. and state flags in Connecticut will fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on the day of interment, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Gov. Malloy Appoints Vicki Veltri To Lead State's Office Of Health Strategy
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is appointing Victoria Veltri of Colchester to serve as Executive Director of the state’s Office of Health Strategy, a new state office created through the consolidation of several existing resources as part of the bipartisan state budget that was adopted in October. The office, which begins operations on February 1, will be responsible for implementing data-driven strategies that promote equal access to healthcare, improve the value of healthcare, contain costs, and ensure better healthcare systems for Connecticut residents.
