Mobile ID

The Connecticut Mobile ID is a secure digital version of your driver’s license, learner’s permit or state ID. You can store it safely on your smartphone for contactless verification. The Mobile ID app is free and optional for Connecticut residents.

You are still required to carry your physical license, permit or ID with you.

You can use the Connecticut Mobile ID app’s version of your REAL ID at participating TSA checkpoints, including Bradley International Airport and Tweed-New Haven Airport.

Mobile ID makes carrying and using your ID easier than ever. Your ID is securely available on your smartphone, allowing you to quickly verify your identity when needed without searching for a physical card. Mobile ID provides a convenient way to access and share your identity information.

Secure

Mobile ID offers a more secure way to carry your identification than a traditional physical ID. Before your Mobile ID can be used, the app requires authentication using FaceID, TouchID, or your 6-digit PIN. This added layer of security helps ensure that only you can access and present your Mobile ID.

Private

Your privacy is protected. Your personal information is stored securely on your device – not within the Mobile ID app itself.
